Take the Online Cyber Start Challenge
Virginia partners with SANS Institute to offer Cyber Challenge for Students
Virginia (and six other states) has partnered with the SANS Institute (The nation’s premier cyber training organization) to offer a FREE Cyber Challenge (CyberStart) to students age 16 and older.
The press release can be found at http://governor.virginia.gov/newsroom/newsarticle?articleId=20751 and additional details are available on the Virginia Cyber site (www.cyberva.virginia.gov).
This is the first time that CyberStart has been deployed in the U.S. and will likely be the only time SANS will make it available at no cost to participants.
Are you eligible?
This summer, if you are 16, or older, on the 1st of September 2017, have access to the Internet and a computer and live in one of the following states you are eligible to take part in CyberStart: Virginia, Michigan, Iowa, Hawaii, Nevada, Delaware, and Rhode Island. The CyberStart program will be available at no charge, to high school and college students.
Are you up for the challenge?
If you are interested in signing up to CyberStart and think you have what it takes to be the next cyber security expert, register here between July 14 and July 28.
Visit the SANS CyberStart website to find out more and to register.
