VHCC to Host Financial Aid Workshops
Virginia Highlands Community College is hosting a series of free workshops to assist college-bound students and their parents in filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
The workshops will provide a comprehensive overview of the process and free one-on-one assistance to those who bring their tax returns. Participants who plan to enroll in Spring 2018 should use their 2015 tax returns and complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA. Those who plan to enroll in Summer 2018, Fall 2018 or Spring 2019 should use their 2016 tax returns and complete the 2018-2019 FAFSA.
Each session will be held in Room 130 of the Instruction and Student Center (ISC-130) on the VHCC Campus, which is located just off Exit 14 of Interstate 81 in Abingdon. Similar information will be presented at each session, so participants are invited to choose the one most convenient.
Sessions will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 23; 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 13; 6 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20; and 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 29. Everyone is welcome and no registration is required.
