Enrollment for Summer Term and Fall Semester at Virginia Highlands Community College begins Monday, March 19.
New students are currently being accepted and are encouraged to begin the admission process by completing the online application available at www.vhcc.edu/apply.
VHCC offers both Career & Technical Programs that prepare graduates for immediate entry into the workplace and two-year Transfer Programs that include the general education courses needed to complete the first half of a bachelor’s degree. Agreements also are in place that guarantee qualified VHCC graduates admission to Virginia Tech, the University of Virginia, Radford University, Old Dominion University, and many other top-ranked colleges and universities throughout Virginia.
Summer Term classes are offered in two five-week sessions – Summer Term A, which begin May 30, and Summer Term B, which begins July 5. Students may also choose Summer Full Term, a 10-week session that begins May 30 and ends August 8. Fall Semester classes begin August 22.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) can be accessed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. VHCC will hold a financial aid workshop at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, to provide guidance and one-on-one assistance with the application. Additionally, scholarships are also available through the VHCC Educational Foundation. Please go to www.vhcc.edu/scholarships for more information and the scholarship application. The deadline to apply is May 1.
