Community Members Invited to Join VHCC Music Classes
Community members are invited to participate in a series of non-credit music courses that will be offered at Virginia Highlands Community College during the Fall Semester.
Each of these 16-week classes will be taught by Mary Munsey on the VHCC campus. No prior experience is necessary.
Class Voice I forms a mixed choir of both male and female voices and is designed for beginners and more advanced singers. The class meets each Monday and Wednesday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Classes begin Aug. 22 and continue through Dec. 10. The cost is $80.
Guitar and Ukulele Theory and Practice teaches students how to play the guitar and ukulele and how to apply music fundamentals to these instruments. Instruments are provided and no experience is necessary. The class meets each Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., beginning Aug. 28 and continuing through Dec. 11. The cost for this course is $96.
Women’s Choir will meet Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., beginning Aug. 28 and continuing through Dec. 11. The choir will focus on a challenging repertoire for the holiday season and perform several holiday concerts. The cost is $80.
