Cardiopulmonary  Resuscitation (CPR)
You will be trained in American Heart Association (AHA) mouth-to-mouth artificial ventilation, CPR, choking, life-threatening emergencies, and sudden illness for adults, children and infants. With successful completion of the assessments, you will receive certification from AHA in BLS for Health Care Providers (CPR and AED).

First Aid and Safety  American Red Cross (ARC)

Provides standard First Aid and CPR for adults, children and infants. The course also focuses on workplace ergonomics; prevention of slips, trips and falls;  back injury prevention, workplace violence prevention, and stress management. With successful completion of the assessments, you will receive certification from ARC in CPR/AED for adult and child, CPR for infants, and First Aid.  Mumpower | 2 credits 

Health Care Technician I and II
You will learn basic care skills with emphasis on physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients. Covers procedures, communications and interpersonal relations; observation, charting and reporting; care planning, safety and infection control; anatomy and physiology, nutrition and patient feeding; ethics, death and dying. Prepares multi-skilled health care workers to care for patients of various ages with special emphasis on geriatric nursing, home health, long and short term care facilities. 6 credits | Corequisite HCT 101 and 102.

Basic Pharmacy I

Provides an introduction to the basics of pharmacy technology and prepares students to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certificate Board (PTCB) National Exam.
