We are looking for students
who would be interested in working in a large Federal Government Agency. The duties of the
job vary based on the student's experience, but most of the work will be
clerical in nature. Although the position would be temporary, it would
be a good opportunity for a student to gain work experience and to
evaluate whether he/she may be interested in pursuing a career with our

Corrections Officer
- Supervise inmates
and responsible for custody, control, discipline and escape prevention
duties. This involves supervision of inmate movements; checking visitors
and inmates for contraband; maintaining security at gates and entrances;
reporting on inmate conduct and work performance; and supervising inmate
work activities. Qualifications - High school graduate or equivalent;
physically and mentally fit to perform the essential job functions; good
communication skills (oral and written) and good interpersonal skills;
clean record (no felony or domestic violence conviction); ability to
read and to comprehend post orders, policies and procedures; ability to
prepare legible written documentation and correspondence of activities
within security; leadership ability; honest, reliable, work well with
others, assertive, team player, eager to learn and willing to work hard.
Salary range - $25,228-39,384 upon completion of a 12 month probationary
period and completion of training and certification you will advance to
Corrections Officer Sr with a 10% salary increase. Training, uniforms
and equipment provided at no cost. If interested in a career as a

- $39000-$57000. Holds daily sick call. Listens to complaints, examines
and evaluates inmates' health. Refers inmates to physician for further
examination when necessary. Documents actions taken in the offender's
medical record, notes assessment, etc. Orders over-the-counter and
prescription drugs from Central and local pharmacies. Holds pill call,
administers drugs, and maintains log of medications given.
Qualifications- Working knowledge of principles and practices of
professional nursing. Working skills in administering medications and
providing treatment. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an RN by the
VA Board of Nursing. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Some experience in providing general professional nursing.
Corrections Nurse Technician - $28000-$41000. Provides direct care,
treatment and related services for those inmates incarcerated in an
adult institution. Conducts screening of inmates with health complaints,
administers prescribed medications, initiates first aid measures,
documents patient care, and assists physicians. Compiles and distributes
medications for pill call in compliance with medical protocol and
agency/institutional procedures to policy. Ensures good working
conditions by inspecting and documenting emergency equipment and
supplies. Qualifications-High School diploma or equivalent. Current VA
license or eligibility for licensure in the state of VA. CPR
certification. Graduation from an accredited licensed practical school
