The Summit Center for Higher Education, a unique partnership between Virginia Highlands Community College and Wytheville Community College, opened in August 2015 with a series of general education classes designed to provide added convenience for Smyth County students.
The Center is located in the historic 1908 Schoolhouse in downtown Marion and has been renovated to include modern classroom space and state-of-the-art technology. All courses needed to earn a General Education Certificate, which is equivalent to the first year of an Associate’s Degree, will be available at The Summit Center during the academic year. Students may also take classes required for the Associate of Arts & Sciences Degree in Engineering here.
Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. For additional information or enrollment assistance, please contact VHCC Student Services at (276) 739-2529. Additional information about the courses listed below, please refer to the Summit Spring 2018 Class Schedule.
