Federal - Work Study Program
Eligibility
Requirements
Eligibility for the Federal Work-Study Program is determined by the
Financial Aid Administrator on the basis of documented student need. Students
wishing to work on the Work-Study Program should:
1. Complete a FAFSA on the web or paper FAFSA as soon as possible after January
1 of each year.
2. Complete all requirements for admission to a program at the college.
3. Be enrolled at least half-time during the fall and spring semester.
4. Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.
5. Be registered with the Selective Service, if required.
6. Not be in default on any loan or owe a refund on any grant or loan at any
institution.
7. Maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Normally, students working 30 or more hours for another employer will not be
considered for participation in the FWS Program.
