Pre-Enrollment at VHCC
Dual Enrollment students taking VHCC courses as seniors and planning to attend VHCC full time after graduation from high school may pre-enroll for summer and fall semester classes.
To take advantage of the Pre-enrollment option, students must:
- Set-up an appointment with one of the Academic Counselors. This should be done after April 1 of your senior year. The Counselor you need to see will be determined by which curriculum you will be entering. Call 739-2438 to set-up your appointment. Curriculums offered at VHCC can be found in the VHCC catalog which you can obtain from your Guidance Office, the college, or accessed on our website at www.vhcc.edu.
- If you have taken VHCC English-111 at you will not need to provide Reading & Writing test scores, but will be required to provide SAT, ACT or Compass math scores.
- If you have taken a VHCC college transfer math course (Mth-163, 241, or 173) you will not need to provide Math test scores, but will be required to provide SAT, ACT or Compass reading & writing scores.
- Students who were dual enrolled in either English or biology and math and satisfactorily completed the course(s) will not need to provide placement scores.
Those students who will be going directly to four year colleges and universities after graduation can also pre-enroll for VHCC summer classes. You need to contact the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment or the Director of Admissions in the ISC building room 133 to complete the registration process. Pre-enrollment for summer classes generally begins around the middle of March. If you plan to take advantage of this opportunity, please select your classes as soon as possible, because the more popular classes fill up quickly.
