Jeff began studying Horticulture at Virginia Highlands Community College in the Fall of 2004. His easy and outgoing style quickly made him famous with his teachers and his peers. During the horticulture lab experiences that he participated in, he was legendary for his good humor and dedication to completing difficult tasks. His handiwork is on display throughout the campus gardens. Between classes, Jeff could often be found “holding court” in the student center where his wise counsel on topics ranging far and wide was enjoyed by all.

Jeff was working in the garden center at the Home Depot in Bristol, Virginia when he died suddenly on February 9, 2006.

He is greatly missed.
