Do you have a cancellation policy? The College reserves the right to cancel any course that does not have sufficient enrollment. The decision is usually made two days prior to the first scheduled class meeting and all registrants will be notified promptly. A full refund is processed automatically. To help prevent cancellations, please register at least five days before a course is scheduled to begin.
Do you offer a Senior Citizen discount? In non-credit classes that have met sufficient enrollment, senior citizens (60 years of age or above) may register in a non-credit course, tuition free, on a space available basis. In the case of a class that has insufficient paying enrollment, all senior citizens will be required to pay the full tuition for the class. Limit three classes per semester, ed2go & certification classes are not eligible. Senior citizens eligible for tuition free classes must pay for any additional material fees.
Can I get a non-credit refund? In non-credit classes, full refunds will be given if a course is cancelled or if a student withdraws three days prior to the course. In order to receive a refund, request can be made in writing, by phone (276)739-2430, or in person.
When can I sign up? If space is still available in a class, registrations are taken until the first day of the class. However, we encourage you to sign up early in case a class is cancelled due to low enrollment.

How do I get to your office? Workforce Development & Continuing Education at VHCC is located on the Virginia Highlands Community College Campus in the Administration building. VHCC is located off exit 14 in Abingdon, Virginia.
Where will my class meet? The building and room number will be listed with each class. Please refer to the following building abbreviations and locations:
