 2013 Veterans Association

Representatives of VHCC’s Veterans Association attended a Virginia Student Veterans Conference on the campus of Old Dominion University in Norfolk on November 22, 2013. The key speaker was LTJG Jason Redman, who was a Navy Seal member selected for the prestigious Seaman to Admiral Program and was later wounded on an operation to capture an Al Qaeda high value individual. After 37 surgeries LTJG Redman used his experiences as a severely wounded service member and positive attitude to create Wounded Wear, a Non-Profit organization designed to help wounded warriors, their families, and the families of the fallen rediscover the Hero Within.
