Grammy Award Winner Richard Leigh and fellow members of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame will join some of the region’s up-and-coming songwriting talents for a May 27-28 celebration of song to benefit foster youth enrolled at Virginia Highlands Community College.

A series of programs currently offered through the Washington County Skill Center will soon move to Virginia Highlands Community College and become part of the college’s regular program offerings.

Richard Leigh Songwriters’ Festival are available online now at www.vhcc.edu/songwriters. Tickets are $10 for Friday, $20 for Saturday, or $25 for a weekend pass. A table sponsorship is $500 and includes 10 weekend passes and 10 reserved seats for Saturday night. Thursday’s performance featuring members of the Virginia Highlands Songwriters’ Association is free.
