Scholarship Application

Applications must be received in the Foundation Office by April 26, 2013. Late applications will not be considered. Other VHCC scholarships (e.g. AIMS, Tobacco) may have different deadlines and may require a different application. Please read the scholarship descriptions carefully.

Application Process:

1. Print or type the complete scholarship application. If necessary, use additional sheet(s) of paper. You must include your full name on each additional sheet.
2. Financial need is determined through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Students applying for scholarships that are based on a financial need should complete the FAFSA before submitting an application for scholarship by April 1 (www.fafsa.ed.gov).
3. Only those students admitted to VHCC will be considered for scholarships.
4. Before applying for a scholarship, read each description carefully.
   • Scholarships are awarded for fall and spring semesters but are not available for the summer semester.
   • Scholarship awards are based on the availability of funds and the criteria set forth by the appropriate governing body. All awards are subject to change.
   • Unless otherwise stated, scholarships are awarded only to full-time students.
   • Unless otherwise stated, scholarships are not renewed automatically. Recipients are encouraged to read the scholarship announcement carefully and ask the program coordinator for renewal information.
   • Students may apply for multiple scholarships.
