Students must place into English 111in both the writing and reading test in order to qualify to take VHCC English 111 for college credit.

Students whose scores fall in a retest range may be allowed to retest upon request.
All students must understand that taking dual enrollment courses for college credit require a great deal of work.
If one receives college credit then one must understand that the level of expectations must be high. Over the
past three years almost 100% of all students taking dual credit courses said that the demands were much higher in these courses. Just remember, they are college courses and not high school courses.

* Prerequisite: a placement for MTH – 163 and four units of high school math including Algebra I,
Algebra II, Geometry, and Trigonometry or equivalent.

** Prerequisite: a placement for MTH – 173 and four units of high school math including Algebra I,
Algebra II, Geometry, and Trigonometry or equivalent.
