Position #R0069 State role title is Administrative and Office Specialist II, Pay Band Two. Full-time, grant-funded position. Continuation of position dependent upon grant funding. Minimum starting salary is $20,082, plus fringe benefits.

Responsibilities: Serves as Office Manager and receptionist for all campus TRIO (Project EXCEL/Upward Bound/Educational Talent Search) programs. Provides secretarial support for TRIO programs and staff. Enters and maintains program and student data to include running reports as requested. Inputs all encumbrances, payroll and other budget deductions into spreadsheet and updates budget information in a timely manner. Serves as cost center and budgetary liaison for TRIO programs. Receives, audits and submits time cards to Coordinator for approval. Orders and maintains all office supplies. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Associate's degree in a secretarial science, information technology or related field and two years of secretarial experience or equivalent education and experience required (Grant Requirement). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Ability to learn and maintain proficiency with state purchasing and travel guidelines required. Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy required. Good oral and written communication skills required. Experience with a database program required. Work experience with student populations preferred. TRIO knowledge or experience desired. Success in overcoming a disadvantaged background preferred.
