 Trouble Logging In?  Browser Test and Tips

 

  • MyVHCC requires 6.0 or later version of Internet Explorer.  If you need to download the latest version of Internet Explorer, click here.

  • AOL and MSN users may need to minimize the AOL or MSN window, then open Internet Explorer.

  • MyVHCC requires that JavaScript and Cookies be enabled on your browser.  If cookies are set to "Block All" or "High" you may not be able to login properly.  See Changing Browser Settings below.  It is also a good practice to clear your cache memory.

 

 Trouble Logging In?  Changing Browser Settings (Internet Explorer):

1)       Open Internet Explorer.

2)       Open the Tools dropdown menu and select Internet Options.

a)      Enable JavaScript:   Watch demo. (Note: demo does not change your computer settings.)

i)         Click on the Security tab.

ii)       Click Custom Level button.

iii)      Under the Scripting heading, enable all three options (active scripting, scripting of Java applets and allow paste operation via script).

b)      Enable Cookies:   Watch demo. (Note: demo does not change your computer settings.)

i)         Click on Privacy tab.

ii)       Set your level to medium (or lower).

c)      Clear your Cache:  Watch demo. (Note: demo does not change your computer settings.)

i)         Click on General tab.

ii)       Under the Temporary Internet Files heading, click:

(1)     Delete Cookies... button.
(If you receive a popup asking whether to delete cookies, click OK.)

(2)     Delete Files... button.
(If you receive a popup asking whether to delete files, check the box Delete all offline content and click OK.)

(3)     Settings... button. Under the Check for newer versions of stored pages heading check the Every visit to the page button and click OK.

3)       Click OK on the Internet Options popup.


If you are still having problems, work through steps 4-8.

4)       Are you running a Web Accelerator?  You may have to disable or uninstall it, or if possible, disable it for this site.

5)       Install and run AdAware and/or Spybot S&D to eliminate any spyware on your computer.

6)       Check that the computer is up to date, i.e. run Windows Update.

7)       Try an alternate browser, i.e. Firefox instead of IE.

8)    If you are using a personal firewall or proxy, you will need to enable session cookies for this site.
