Vista – Internet Explorer 7 and Blackboard Users

The Visual Textbox Editor found in the Blackboard Discussion Board area does not work with Internet Explorer 7 and  Windows Vista. You will not see a textbox when you try to add or reply to a thread.  The workaround is to download the free Firefox browser from Mozilla and us it, instead of IE 7, to access Blackboard.

If for some reason, Firefox doesn't fix the problem, do the following: 

In a Blackboard course, navigate to: Tools > Personal Information > Set Textbox Editor Options > Unavailable > Submit.

Blackboard is currently working to certify compatibility with Windows VISTA, but we do not expect resolution before the Spring 08 semester.
