Access the VHCC website at www.vhcc.edu

To Access MyVHCC:

Click on myVHCC thumbprint  → Login → Enter Username → Password → Login →VCCS SIS8: Student Information System

  • New Students applying to VHCC will use date of birth (mmddyy) for password the first time and then will be prompted to create a secure password.

  • If you have lost or forgotten your password, please click password help then click reset your password here

  • If you do not know your User name or EmplID click on appropriate links.

  • To Identify Your Faculty Advisor:

    Click on myVHCC thumbprint → Login → Enter Username → Password →Login → VCCS SIS8: Student Information System → SA Self Service → Learner Services → Academics → View My Advisor

     

    To Run a Degree Progress Report:

    Note: Process and print this request first so that you can see what classes you need.

  • Click on myVHCC thumbprint → Login → Enter Username → Password → Login → VCCS SIS8: Student Information System → SA Self Service → Learner Services → Academics → View Degree Progress Report →report type → Submit

  • Program requirements are identified by three asterisks (***) Requirements that have not been satisfied are in bold and have Requirement not satisfied in Red

  • To Enroll and Make Changes to Class Schedule:

    Click on myVHCC thumbprint → Login → Enter Username → Password → Login → VCCS SIS8: Student Information System →SA Self Service → Learner Services → Academics → Enroll/Drop/Swap a class  Click on semester your are enrolling in

  • To Add a Class click on Add Classes link at bottom of screen.

  • Enter 5-digit class number found in class schedule in the Class Nbr Field  click on Tab (enter key will not work) Enter up to 6 Class Numbers. To add more than 6 class numbers, click Add Another Class.

  • If a class has a related component, an additional screen will appear. Click magnify glass and select lab.

  • To search for a class, click on the magnify glass and follow the prompts.

  • Subject - is the class department (ENG or MTH)

  • Catalog Number - is the course number (for example, 111 if you want to add ENG 111)

  • Course Career - is Credit

  • Once you have chosen all of your classes, click submit and you will receive a message of the status of your enrollment

  • "Success" indicates that you have enrolled in the class.

  • "Errors found" means that you are not enrolled. Click on "Errors found" to learn why you were not able to complete the enrollment.

  •  Print your class schedule by clicking on link at bottom of page.

  • If you need to add, drop or swap classes, scroll to the bottom of your schedule and follow appropriate links
