Transfer Students

Virginia Highlands Community College has transfer programs leading to the AA&S (Associate in Arts & Sciences) Degree.  These programs are designed for transfer and include choices that allow students to coordinate VHCC course work with senior institution requirements.

Our Transfer Guide offers suggestions for students and faculty advisors as they work together in coordinating transfer plans. Students are encouraged to follow VHCC curriculum outline listings in the college catalog if they plan to graduate from VHCC. Many four-year public colleges and Universities in Virginia will accept the Associates in Arts &Sciences degree in lieu of the core curriculum requirements and award junior status to students. This transfer guide is for your information and further planning. It is strongly recommended that students interested in transferring consult with VHCC Division Counselors and the senior institution of their choice for assistance.  For a complete Transfer Guide visit the Student Success Center in ISC 208.
