On behalf of the faculty and staff of Virginia Highlands Community
College, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to campus and thank you
for choosing VHCC. I am confident that your learning experience will be
a pleasant and rewarding one, and I look forward to the time we will
spend together. VHCC was established by the State Board for Community
Colleges on Nov. 30, 1967, and began operation two years later. Since
that time, we have remained committed to the VHCC mission and our
students.
As we work hard to fulfill that mission, we encourage you to also work
hard. Please take your education seriously and take advantage of the
various clubs, organizations, and culturally enriching opportunities
that are available to you as a VHCC student. These activities coupled
with the knowledge gained in the classroom will complete the VHCC
experience.
