The Spring Philm is dedicated to the inimitable Phil Ferguson (March 2, 1983-January 15, 2018) and his sacrificial service to others. Phil loved Winter's Bone because it demonstrates the grit that emerges from facing the challenges of mountain life and celebrates the children who become beautiful old souls in spite of the hardships they face.
