Top-SchoolsRICHMOND, Va – Virginia Living magazine has recognized Virginia Highlands Community College (VHCC) as a “Top School” in its special October 2019 issue that celebrates excellence and innovation in Virginia’s schools.

“This adds confirmation to what we already know,” said Dr. Charlie White, VHCC interim president. “Students at Virginia Highlands receive an incredible value. Not only do they save thousands of dollars on their education, they benefit from an award-winning experience. Virginia Highlands is second-to-none when it comes to the instruction and educational opportunities students enjoy.”

Featuring in-depth and positive coverage of news and trends in secondary and higher education, Virginia Living State of Education includes Top High Schools & Colleges 2019, listing more than 150 programs in public and private high schools and four and two-year colleges leading the way in innovation across the state.

According to Virginia Living magazine, the editors carefully and thoroughly review each school’s programs and accomplishments, selecting schools that have instituted programs or recently begun capital improvements aimed at strengthening students’ experience in the classroom, in the field, and in their communities.
