Echoes Across Mountains: the Chinese Guzheng Meets the Soul of Appalachia

In a program bridging the traditional Chinese guzheng music with the rich traditions of Appalachia, award-winning performer and musicologist Haiqiong Deng will play a concert of traditional music for the zheng, or 21-string zither, blended with collaborations with local musicians from Appalachia. Presented in partnership with the Virginia Highlands Festival.
