Library Card Sign-Up Event

Need a local library card? Join us on Tuesday, April 9th from 1pm to 3pm in the VHCC Library! Washington County Public Library will be on campus to connect students with resources available at the public library, like online library services such as Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy! 

Students will be able to register for a local library card. Library cards for Washington County Public Library are free for Washington County residents of any age, whether you are a permanent or temporary resident. If you are not a Washington County resident, your card is still free if you live in:

• The State of Virginia
• Bristol, TN
• Johnson County, Tennessee

Additionally, the MARC will be at this event to assist students with:

• Finding additional resources for essays
• Essay writing in any subject 
• Help composing/editing/revising essays 
• And our first ever “Power Hour” – a collaborative session where students work on separate essays/assignments and come together at the end of the hour to share their progress toward their assignments – a way to increase accountability!
