VHCC Partners on Innovative Regional Housing Initiative

Virginia Highlands Community College (VHCC) is proud to announce its collaboration with the Appalachian Highlands Housing Partners on an innovative new project aimed at addressing housing issues and fueling economic growth in our region.

VHCC is excited to be among the institutions collaborating on this important venture. Our role is to ensure a trained, competent, and ready workforce is available to meet the demands of this factory and the broader housing sector in Southwest Virginia.

VHCC President Dr. Adam Hutchison emphasized the college's dedication to this regional effort:

"Appalachian Highlands Housing Partners has brought together a really amazing group of stakeholders to try to solve the housing issues in Southwest Virginia. For VHCC and it's students we're here to provide a trained, competent and ready workforce to meet that housing need, that includes employees at the plant, managers, supply chain; wherever we can support that employer, we're ready to help."

This collaboration underscores VHCC’s deep commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education and training that directly aligns with local industry needs, preparing our students for strong careers, and benefiting the entire regional economy.
