Support the Phil Station

Since opening, the Phil Station Food Depot has provided groceries, personal hygiene, and infant care items to hundreds of students. However, hunger on campus has continued to rise and is a problematic trend facing many of our students at VHCC and other colleges. In addition to lasting, long-term effects on a student’s health and well-being, food insecurity also impacts retention and timely degree or certification completion. Simply put, students cannot thrive if their basic needs are not being met.

Join us as we raise money to ensure all students have access to resources that support their success.

2025 Holiday Meal Boxes

Hunger on campus remains a real and growing challenge. Students can’t thrive—or complete their degrees—if their basic needs aren’t being met. Our students deserve every opportunity to succeed.

This thanksgiving season, we’re asking for community support to provide Holiday Meal Boxes for VHCC students and their families.

What’s in a Holiday Meal Box?

Your team can help by collecting enough items to create 5–10 Holiday Meal Boxes for students in need.

Each Box provides everything needed to complete a holiday meal:

  • 2 cans of yams
  • 2 cans of green beans
  • 2 cans of corn
  • 1 box of instant mashed potatoes
  • 2 packets of gravy
  • 1 box of stuffing & 1 can of cranberry sauce
  • 1 package of bread mix similar to Krusteaz Bread Mix
  • 1 box of cake mix (yellow or chocolate) & 1 jar of icing
  • 1 EZ Foil Cake Pan (13" x 9" x 2")
  • VHCC will add a turkey, ham, or roast to each box

Prefer to donate?

A $25 contribution provides a gift certificate for the main dish (turkey, ham, or roast) in each box.

All loose items need to be turned in by November 14, 2025. All packed boxes need to be turned in by November 17, 2025.
