The VHCC Old Time String Band is an exciting and fun performance class that has been offered on the campus of Virginia Highlands Community College each spring since 2012. The music director at VHCC, Mary Munsey, designed this class and has opened the class to all students, faculty and community members. Some players are beginners and others have been playing for several years. Members of the group range in age from 8-92.
